A Louis XVI ormolu cartel clock, the case attributed to Robert OsmondThe white enamel Roman and Arabic dial with foliate pierced and chased hands, anchor escapement and silk suspended pendulum; surmounted by an urn finial with ring handles and foliate swags, the dial with glazed pendulum aperture below decorated with laurel swags and lions mask and with foliate cast terminal. The case attributed to Robert Osmond. (Robert Osmond (Maitre-fondeur, 1746) and his nephew Jean Baptiste Osmond (Maitre-fondeur 1764) were pioneers of the neo-classic style.
